The Department of Human Resources endeavors to recruit and retain skilled employees who are committed to providing effective and efficient services to the citizens of St. Mary's County.
The Department administers the policies and procedures adopted by the Commissioners of St. Mary's County and provides quality services in the areas of Training & Employee Relations, Health & Wellness Benefits, Safety & Risk Management, and ADA compliance. The Department supports County Volunteer Fire & EMS members through Length of Service Awards Program administration and recruiting and retention initiatives.
