The Early Childhood Team is comprised of community representatives from the public and private sectors. Team members meet bi-monthly to address the issue of school readiness. The work of the team is directed by annual school-readiness (MMSR) data and our goal is to ensure optimum school-readiness for all St Mary’s County children entering kindergarten. Some projects include:
 

• The annual Early Childhood Fair at Lexington Park Elementary
   

• The development and printing of the “Summer Fun With Your Little One” booklets circulated annually throughout our community.
   

• The new Family Resource Center at Bank Square in Lexington Park.
