PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY
The Marcey Halfway House has been
operational and providing residential
treatment services for recovering
substance abusers since 1989. Marcey
House strives to rehabilitate the
substance abuser stressing
responsibility to the individual, as
well as the community-at-large. The
disease of chemical dependency, without
intervention, promotes a downward trend,
which is irreversible. The program focus
is to interrupt this trend and
incorporate new alternatives leading
toward a happy, productive lifestyle
without chemical dependency. The Marcey
House, along with the majority of
professionals in the field of substance
abuse, believes that recovery is a
lifelong process.
Each individual is introduced to
the practices and principles of
Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics
Anonymous. Total abstinence from drugs
and alcohol is our philosophy of
treatment.
