House will host its Sixeenth Annual Benefit Golf
Tournament on Friday, May 22, 2009 at
the Newly Renovated Wicomico Shores Municipal Golf
Course in St. Mary's County Maryland., Our title
sponsor, Science
Applications International Corporation

Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc. (SAIC / EMA)
will be the tournament's title sponsor, in
association with Verizon, Southern Maryland Electric
Cooperative, Washington Gas, PNC Bank, and MetroCast.
This is a great example of partnerships between private
sector businesses in support of publicly funded
substance abuse treatment programs. Our special guest
this year, will be the Men's Head Basketball Coach for
the
University
of Minnesota Gophers,
Tubby Smith
www.gophersports.com and, Retired NFL
linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kevin Hardy.
In addition, there will be other dignitaries supporting
this event such as, members from St. Mary's
County Board of County
Commissioners
and Representatives from the Southern Maryland
Legislative Delegation.

Marcey House has been operational
since 1989 providing substance abuse services and an
agency/spending unit of St. Mary's County Government,
and managed by county personnel. Our program receives
56% state grant funding and 30% county support. We rely
on other revenues such as contributions, donations and
funds generated from our annual fundraiser event. We are
a co-ed Level-III.1 Clinically Managed Low Intensity
Residential Treatment Facility and support's the local
jurisdiction's continuum of care. Marcey House is unique
among other halfway houses in the state, by having care
capabilities to treat individuals with co-occurring
disorders and serves as a regional resource for the
Tri-County Area of Southern Maryland. Therefore, it is
extremely important that we encourage community support.
We ask that you join us, which will assist us to
maintain high quality of care, as well as meet our
financial mark.
We would be appreciative if you or
your business would join us for this event. We look
forward to another successful tournament, with great
golf, fantastic food, pleasant company, and many prizes.
It is a great way to start off the Memorial Day weekend.
