Two Sand Volleyball Courts are available                     

The Activity Center at CRRP is home to the Chancellor’s Run Activity Center and the Department of Aging’s Loffler Senior Activity Center. The Center hosts a variety of leisure programs, senior activities and special events. Please call 240-434-6669 for information on Recreation & Parks activities; call the Department of Aging at 240-561-1183 for information on senior activities.

CRRP is also home to the softball Hall of Fame facility and pavilion. The facility hosts the Hall of Fame memorabilia collection, concession stand, restrooms and upper level pavilion. 

Advertisement There is limited advertisement space available at Chancellor’s Run Regional Park to display company billboards.  Companies may purchase a 4’ x 8’ billboard for $500; yearly renewal fee is $300.  Billboards will be displayed from mid-March through November each year.  At the end of the season, the billboards will be removed from fencing and stored.  This is an excellent way to advertise; thousands of people attend activities and events at the complex each year.  Please call 240-434-6669  for more information.
Rentals

Call for rental information.  We have space for workshops, meetings, receptions, birthday and holiday parties.  To make reservations, or for additional information, please call 301-737-5670, ext. 1670.  We book up very quickly so call early.

Pavilion Rental Information

Reservations will be accepted over the phone with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) for the months of April through October starting on February 1st. Please call (301) 475-4200 ext. 1800 to make reservations.

2012 Pavilion Fees

Small Pavilion - $100 - groups less than 60 people  

(Chancellors Run, Nicolet, Dorsey #2 & Baggett Park)

Large Pavilion - $150 – groups of 61-150

(Fifth District, Dorsey #1, Cecil & Elms)

150+ people will incur an additional staff fee of $10 per hour.  Reservations must be made a minimum of two weeks prior to rental date.

Alcohol permit not available for Chancellors Run, Elms Beach or Nicolet Park Pavilions.

Park Picnic Pavilion Rules and Regulations

1. An employee will periodically be checking activities in the park and monitoring pavilion usage regulations. The park employee will return at an agreed upon time to collect equipment.

2. It is unlawful to consume alcoholic beverages in county parks, except by a permit issued from Recreation and Parks (R&P). Unless otherwise stated on the permit, alcohol usage is restricted to the Picnic Pavilion. See below for further information.

3. Where grills are available, please extinguish all charcoal fires before leaving the park.

4. ABSOLUTELY NO OPEN CAMP FIRES. Citizens may bring a personal gas grill to the park; however personal charcoal grills are not permitted.

5. Medical Insurance is not provided. Park usage is at your own risk.

6. To receive a refund, pavilion cancellations must be made, in writing, at least four (4) weeks prior to reserved date. No other refunds, including inclement weather, will be considered.

7. Parks close at sunset. Users must be out of the pavilion at the designated time unless R&P grants special permission, in writing.

8. Please dispose of all trash and refuse in receptacles.

9. If you anticipate using a ball field, you should obtain a field permit. Organized youth and adult leagues and groups with a permit have priority in use of the ball fields.

10. Please bring your pavilion rental receipt, letter of confirmation and Alcohol permit with you on the day of your event.

11. Equipment bags must be returned to the park attendant. If for any reason the park attendant is not present at the time of your departure, please place the bag in one of the restrooms.

12. In case of inclement weather check the Department cancellation line at 301-475-4200 ext 1840 or visit the website, click on Announcements and Latest Updates. Inclement weather refunds are given if R&P cancels a reservation. If pavilion rentals are canceled due to inclement weather, the cancellation information will state pavilion rentals cancelled; “field closures” do not mean pavilion rentals are canceled.

13. A fee will be assessed if numbers attending go over the projected amount at the time of rental.
