HOW TO WATCH A GOOD PROGRAM BE ELIMINATED
Nothing eliminates a recreation program faster than residents
who wait until the last minute to register. There is a point when
a program must be canceled or modified if there is insufficient
registration. All programs require a high level of coordination,
often including facility scheduling, staffing, volunteer recruitment
and purchasing of supplies.
Pre-registration is required for all leisure programs. Instructors are not permitted to accept money or registration
forms at class.
In order to
provide the best programs possible, we ask each participant or
parent to complete a program evaluation form to be handed out by
the instructor the last day of the programs. Please complete our
Class Evaluation Sheet. Completed forms can be given to the
instructor or sent attn:
Christina Bishop, fax 301-475-4108 or
mailed to: R&P at P.O. Box 653, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
These programs operate in various facilities that include: fourteen
elementary schools, four middle schools, and two high schools.
Programs also take place at the Chancellors Run Regional Park, Wiecks
Park, Carver Recreation Center, the Governmental Center grounds,
Leonard Hall Recreation Center, the St. Mary'sCounty Fairgrounds, and
the Gymnastics Center in Lexington Park. The programs are diverse with
regard to type, how often they are offered, and the age group served.
