Registration remains open for the 2009 – 2010 school year, depending on space availability.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Children are admitted into the program regardless of sex, race, age, color, religion, political affiliation, national origin, opinions or other non-merit factors. The St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks complies with all the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Admissions will be granted after the following criteria have been completed and received by the registrar at the St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks main office.

  • Enrollment Forms  

  • Payment of $75 family registration fee and $100 deposit per child; deposit will be credited to final payment of school year.

The following are also required on or before the first day of the child's attendance in the program:

  • Health Inventory  - Form L
  • Emergency Information Card - Form N
  • School Age Care Registration Form – Form G
  • Parent’s Guide (A Consumer Pamphlet) - Form P

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ON A FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED BASIS. IN THE CASE OF A CENTER REACHING FULL ENROLLMENT, A WAITING LIST WILL BE ESTABLISHED AT THE ST. MARY’S COUNTY RECREATION & PARKS OFFICE; CALL 301-475-4200 x 1800 TO BE ADDED TO THE LIST. Waiting lists are discarded at the end of the school year and do not carry over to the following year.

Children are eligible to participate in the St. Mary’s County Recreation & Parks School Age Center (SAC) Program if they are residents of St. Mary's County and meet the following requirements for each program.

SAC children must be enrolled in a St. Mary’s County elementary school or middle school. There is a minimum requirement of fifteen (15) full time children to operate a SAC program at a school.

Enrollment Forms are available online, and at the St. Mary's County Recreation & Parks Main Office in Leonardtown. To register: submit the School Age Care Registration Form, along with the family registration fee of $75 plus a $100 deposit per child, at the time of registration. The additional forms must be provided before the child can begin care.  All childcare programs run from the first day of school to the last day of school.  Additional care will be provided during school in-service days, Christmas holidays, and spring break at no additional fee.
