During the winter months, gates are closed but the park is
open for use by pedestrian access. During this time, the
public is welcome to park at the entrance and walk into the
park. Park is
scheduled to re-open on March, 2009.

if coming from Leonardtown or from Mechanicsville Road; park
is located on the left if coming from Charles County or

Additional Information |
Other phases may include equestrian trails and
riding rings, hiking trails, basketball courts, tennis
courts, and baseball fields - depending upon future funding
availability. Also, the Southern Maryland BMX group, a
private, non-profit organization, is managing and operating
