The mainland of Colton’s Point on the beautiful Potomac River is your setting for the most intimate and unique jazz experience in Southern Maryland. You can relax riverside on the lawn of the St.Clement's Island Museum to the sounds of three dynamic jazz groups and indulge in the best seafood Southern Maryland has to offer! Ticket price includes parking, entry to the festival, and admission to the museum. Food and beverages must be purchased separately by the vendors provided. Bring your favorite lawn chair or blanket.

No coolers, pets, or large umbrellas will be allowed on the festival grounds.

As an optional experience available to you, we invite you to discover the history of St. Clement’s Island, the birthplace of Maryland!  Your admission includes boat transportation to the Island, a Maryland state park, that hosts a picnic pavilion, walking trails, interpretive panels, and the newly built replica of the 1851 Blackistone Lighthouse, open for tours from 12 noon to 5 pm the day of the festival.  Help us celebrate Maryland’s 375th birthday with a visit to where Maryland history begins!  Come early!

This event is presented by the Friends of the St. Clement's Island and Piney Point Museums. This annual fundraiser supports educational and cultural programs, matching grants, projects and exhibits of the museums.  Your dollars make a difference!

This St. Clement’s Island Museum and grounds are handicap accessible.

JaaredJaared Arosamena is undoubtedly one of the most popular and talented Smooth Jazz sax players in theWashington metropolitan area.  He has toured with nationally-known Smooth Jazz guitarist Peter White and played with numerous jazz artists from Rick Braun to Jonathan Butler.  Look for Jaared’s latest CD release “Addiction”  and his dynamic live performance on July 11.  For more information about Jaared, please go to www.jaared.com

Art SherrodArt Sherrod, Jr. is the consumate musician. He plays alto, tenor, soprano sax as well as the electronic wind controller (EWI).     Only 800 tickets are available.  An advance ticket sell out will eliminate tickets available at the gate.  Order early or call ahead for ticket availability!

    (There is a small service charge on all e-tickets)  E-ticket holders must check in at the gate to receive their wrist bands.

    BY PHONE: To order your tickets by telephone using a Mastercard or Visa, call the St. Clement’s Island Museum at 301-769-2222. Pick up tickets at Will Call area in the cardholder’s name the day of the festival.  Tickets will be processed through the museum store (Crab Claw Gift Shop will appear on your credit card statement). 

    In the event of severe weather, rain, thunderstorm, or high winds, the event may be cancelled.  There is no rain date. There will be no refunds or exchanges. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

    Ticket holders must pick up a wrist band at the gate.  Anyone not wearing an event wrist band will be escorted off the property by Security.

    From the Washington Capital Beltway:

    Take exit 7a (Waldorf exit) to Route 5 south. Stay on Route 5 south through Clinton, Waldorf, Hughesville, and Mechanicsville. Route 5 will bear right in Mechanicsville as intersects with Route 235. STAY ON ROUTE 5 SOUTH to Morganza and yellow blinking light. Turn RIGHT on Rt. 242 south to the end at Colton's Point.

    From Northern Virginia:

    Exit from the Beltway cross the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and take first exit to Route 210, Indian Head Highway. Make a LEFT onto Rt 228 to Waldorf. Turn RIGHT onto RT 301 south through Waldorf, La Plata and Faulkner. Turn LEFT onto Rt 234 east toward Leonardtown. Stay on Rt 234 to Clements (4-way stop intersection) and make a RIGHT onto 242 south to the end at Colton's Point.

    From Baltimore/Annapolis:

    Take Route 97 south, Rt 3 south to Rt 301 south at Bowie. Stay on Rt 301 south to Route 5 south toward Waldorf. Stay on Route 5 south through Waldorf (not business 5), Hughesville, and Mechanicsville. Route 5 will bear right in Mechanicsville as it intersects with Route 235 south. STAY ON ROUTE 5 SOUTH to Morganza and yellow blinking light. Turn RIGHT on Rt. 242 south to the end at Colton's Point.

    From Richmond, Va:

    I-95 to Rt. 301 north exit toward the Potomac River Bridge (Gov. Harry Nice Bridge). Turn RIGHT onto Rt. 234 east (Leonardtown/Lexington Park) to Clements (4-way stop intersection). Turn RIGHT on Rt. 242 south to the end at Colton's Point.

    All festival ticket holders are encouraged to enter the free raffle for door prizes.  Thanks to our Gold Sponsor The Show Place Arena, the grand prize door prize winner will receive a private SKY SUITE for an event at The Show Pace Arena for 10 people, and includes snacks and beverages.  Winner has 1 year to make arrangements to use the sky suite.  Raffle entry forms can be found at the end of your purple ticket received with your wrist band the day of the festival.
