Tennis Court Renovation Project at Seventh District Park Now Complete
The Board of County Commissioners and the
Department of Recreation and Parks are pleased to announce that
the tennis court renovation project at
Seventh
District
Park
is now complete. The new Premier® courts will provide a softer,
more user friendly surface for tennis players of all ages and
abilities.
The BOCC held a ribbon cutting ceremony at this park for
other recent improvements on June 3, 2008.
The other park improvements included: a new children’s
playground; restroom/concession building; basketball court; and
additional parking. The park entrance road, parking areas and
walkways were also paved. Funding for these improvements was
provided by the Board of County Commissioners, Maryland’s
Program Open Space and the United States Tennis Association’s
Mid-Atlantic Maryland chapter.
