Agricultural
Preservation Advisory Board
Meetings are held every other
month on the first Thursday beginning in January, 12:30 p.m. in the
2nd floor conference room of the Potomac Building (former
Governmental Center), 23115 Leonard Hall Drive, Leonardtown, MD.
Purpose: To advise the
Commissioners with respect to the establishment and status of
agricultural districts and the approval of purchases of easements
by the Maryland Agricultural Preservation Foundation and to promote
preservation of agriculture within the County.
Composition:
Five members, three of whom shall be owner-operators of commercial farms who earn 50% of more of their income from farming.
Tenure: Two consecutive 5-year terms { 10 years )
