Recreation and Parks Board
Meetings are held the first Thursday of every month,
5:30 p.m., Chesapeake Building, 47710 Baldridge Street, Leonardtown,
MD.
Purpose: To
preside over a comprehensive program of public recreation, including
establishment, operation, and maintenance of a system of public parks
throughout St. Mary's County.
Composition: The
term of membership shall consist of nine members appointed by the St.
Mary's County Board
of County Commissioners,
of whom one shall be recommended by the St. Mary's County Board of Education,
from its membership or otherwise.
Tenure: Two
consecutive staggered four year terms (8)
